Hollywood beach is a terrific beach AND practically right in our backyard--well, a half hour or so drive away but worth the drive every now and then.
The boardwalk there is great for people watching, grabbing a quick bite, or having an afternoon cocktail. One of our favorite burger joints, Le Tub (1100 N Ocean Drive) is just a few minutes away on the intracoastal. And, now that I think about it-- I'm not sure we've ever gone to Hollywood Beach without grabbing heading out to Le Tub.
Even though we live on Fort Lauderdale beach we like to shake things up sometimes and head out to some of the other fantastic beaches around South Florida. Each has its own character and are worth visiting at least once.
Always remember that you have amazing excursions and natural beauty, all within a short drive, or right outside your door--that's what makes South Florida so great!
