A Taste of What Summer has to Offer

We've only been down here a couple of times in May but boy was it beautiful! Fort Lauderdale weather in May is the best—we need to rethink our schedule to make sure that we spend more time down here in May.

You get a really good taste of what summer has to offer down here—the days are warm without the high humidity of summer and the evenings are temperature perfect. Although May is the official start of the wet season, precipitation is usually low.

The ocean is still a little cool from winter which makes it refreshing as average temperatures reach the mid to high 80s in May. What we also enjoyed was less traffic, less people in the stores and hardly any wait at any of the more popular restaurants.

TIP: May is one of those months during the year when the tourists have yet to arrive and the snowbirds have migrated back up north. So if you are looking for a good deal on hotels and accommodations May is a great place to start.
Once you experience Fort Lauderdale in May you'll be hard pressed to find a better time to visit.
